Want to know who’s hot in cricket? The ICC Men’s Batting Rankings tell you how good players are in Test matches, ODIs, and T20Is. These rankings are updated all the time and show who’s been scoring runs often, making a big impact in games, and just straight-up bossing it. Looking at the latest scores from late 2025, you’ll see some new guys killing it, some old pros still doing their thing, and just how competitive cricket is these days.
As of November 22, 2025, Joe Root is still the king of Test match batting. He’s sitting at number one with 884 points – he even hit 932 against Pakistan in 2024. Right on his tail is Harry Brook, who hits the ball hard and has a rating of 853; he was on 898 earlier in 2024. Kane Williamson is third with 850, same old reliable Kane for New Zealand. Steve Smith’s still up there with 809 points, which reminds you of when he had 947 back in 2018. Travis Head’s got 792, showing he can score in any game, anywhere. Kamindu Mendis, Temba Bavuma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Daryl Mitchell, and Ben Duckett are all in the top ten too.
If you keep going down the list, you’ll see Saud Shakeel, Shubman Gill, Dinesh Chandimal, Rishabh Pant, Pathum Nissanka, Aiden Markram, Alex Carey, Sean Williams, Jamie Smith, and Mohammad Rizwan all doing alright in Test matches. Their scores are between 668 and 750, which means they’re getting steady and helping their teams win. Overall, the Test rankings are a good mix of young guys and older, experienced players. You’ve got guys from England, India, Sri Lanka, Australia, South Africa, Pakistan, New Zealand, and Zimbabwe all doing well.
As of November 30, 2025, Rohit Sharma from India is number one in the ODI rankings with 783 points. He’s been great for years, and got to 882 back in 2019. Daryl Mitchell is second with 766, and then you’ve got this up-and-comer from Afghanistan, Ibrahim Zadran, with 764. Virat Kohli is still a huge deal. He’s fourth with 751 points. Shubman Gill, Babar Azam, Harry Tector, Shai Hope, Shreyas Iyer, and Charith Asalanka are also in the top ten, which shows how many countries have good batters.
In the next group, from 11th to 20th, you’ve got Travis Head, Rachin Ravindra, Pathum Nissanka, KL Rahul, Kusal Mendis, Quinton de Kock, Salman Agha, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Paul Stirling, and Sikandar Raza. These guys are always making important scores and making ODI cricket exciting.
Even further down the ODI rankings, you’ll see Keacy Carty, Joe Root, Mohammad Rizwan, Azmatullah Omarzai, Fakhar Zaman, Rassie van der Dussen, Harry Brook, Janith Liyanage, Aiden Markram, George Munsey, Matthew Breetzke, Devon Conway, Tawhid Hridoy, Glenn Phillips, Scott Edwards, Rahmat Shah, Jos Buttler, Saim Ayub, and Ben Duckett. The rankings from 20 to 50 show how much talent there is in the world’s cricket teams.
Right at the bottom of the ODI top 100, there are new players like Cameron Green, Jacob Bethell, Viritya Aravind, Jaker Ali, Loftie-Eaton, Asif Khan, Ben Curran, Phil Salt, Pargat Singh, Sediqullah Atal, Vikramjit Singh, Axar Patel, Aasif Sheikh, George Dockrell, Hardik Pandya, Rohit Paudel, Aaron Jones, Litton Das, Evin Lewis, Mohammad Nadeem, Teja Nidamanuru, and Bas de Leede. This shows how guys from countries like UAE, USA, Namibia, Oman, Ireland, and the Netherlands are getting better fast and making ODI cricket more competitive.
Updated on December 2, 2025, the T20I rankings show how explosive this kind of cricket is. Abhishek Sharma from India is top with 920 points – he even got to 931 earlier in 2025. Phil Salt is next with 849 points, getting better all the time for England. Pathum Nissanka’s third with 779 points. Jos Buttler and Tilak Varma are in fourth and fifth place.
The rest of the top ten includes Sahibzada Farhan, Travis Head, Suryakumar Yadav, Mitchell Marsh, and Tim Seifert. You see a lot of players from India, England, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Australia, and New Zealand here.
As you go further down the rankings, you see names like Dewald Brevis, Tim David, Shai Hope, Kusal Perera, Tim Robinson, Reeza Hendricks, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Kamil Mishara, Tanzid Hasan, Kusal Mendis, Ibrahim Zadran, Josh Inglis, Brian Bennett, Saiteja Mukkamalla, Shubman Gill, Ben Duckett, Harry Brook, George Munsey, Michael Levitt, Babar Azam, Cameron Green, Rovman Powell, Muhammad Waseem, Andries Gous, Saim Ayub, Aiden Markram, Tristan Stubbs, Parvez Hossain Emon, Saif Hassan, and Sanju Samson.
